How to Use the Module

Prerequisites #

  • Log in with a valid user account.
  • Ensure the database is connected.
  • Set the preferred language (English or Thai).

Viewing Projects (List Tab) #

  1. Open the Module: The project list loads automatically.
  2. Filter Templates: Check the “Templates” box to show only template projects.
  3. Search and Select: Use the search bar or scroll through the grid. Double-click a project to edit it.
  4. Create New Project: Click “New” to start a new project and switch to the Edit tab.
  5. Open Project: Click “Open” or double-click to edit a project.
  6. Delete Project: Right-click a project, select “Delete,” and confirm.
  7. Menu Options: Save or reset the grid layout for easier viewing.

Editing Projects (Edit Tab) #

  1. Edit Fields:
    • Choose a status from the dropdown.
    • Enter or update Project Number, Name, Reference, Dates, and Description/Note (in English or Thai).
    • Select a customer from the dropdown.
  2. Save Changes: Click “Save” to store updates and recalculate totals.
  3. Return to List: Click “Back” to close details and return to the List tab.
  4. Manage Components:
    • Add: Click “Add Item” to create a new component.
    • Edit: Update details directly in the grid.
    • Move: Right-click and select “Move Up” or “Move Down.”
    • Copy: Right-click and select “Copy” to duplicate a component.
    • Delete: Right-click, select “Delete,” and confirm.
    • Notes: Right-click “View/Edit Notes” to open a note-editing window.
    • Show Notes: Check the box to display the note column.
  5. Manage Materials (Materials Tab):
    • Filter: Check “Filter Materials” to show specific materials.
    • Add: Click “Add Item” to add a material linked to the current component.
    • Edit: Update details in the grid.
    • Move: Right-click to move up or down.
    • Delete: Right-click, select “Delete,” and confirm.
    • Notes: Right-click “View/Edit Note” to edit material notes.
    • Transactions: Right-click “Open Transaction” to view a linked transaction.
    • Copy Project: Click “Copy” to duplicate the project.
    • Export Materials: Click “Export Materials” to save the material list (details depend on implementation).
  6. Manage Tasks (Tasks Tab):
    • Add: Click “Add Item” to create a new task.
    • Edit: Update task details, including speed or assignment.
    • Move: Right-click to move up or down.
    • Delete: Right-click, select “Delete,” and confirm.
    • Notes: Right-click “View/Edit Notes.”
    • Assign: Select a team or person from the dropdown.
  7. Actions:
    • Schedule: Use the Actions menu to schedule all or remaining tasks for specific days (e.g., every day, Sundays).
    • Copy to Transaction: Create a new transaction (e.g., purchase order) from the project.
    • Update Transactions: Update existing linked transactions.

Keyboard Navigation #

  • Use keyboard shortcuts for quick actions (specific keys depend on implementation).

Calculations #

  • Totals: Automatically calculated for costs, hours, materials, and tasks.
  • Materials: Total cost = Quantity × Cost per unit.
  • Tasks: Speed (units per hour or hours per unit) affects calculations; updates are tracked.
  • Transaction Status: Colored cells indicate status (e.g., Yellow for Pending).

Bilingual Support #

  • Switch between English and Thai using the system’s language setting.
  • Thai fields (e.g., project name, description) appear in Thai mode.
  • Notes can be edited in the selected language.

Integration #

  • The module connects to a main application to:
    • Open transactions (e.g., view a purchase order).
    • Update dashboard tiles or summaries.
    • Retrieve transaction types or user information.
